Started practicing yoga in 1999 and started teaching in Dickson Yoga and various community centres in 2005.

At first I am attracted to yoga because of its beautiful postures. But as I practise it more and more, I came to aware that yoga is a union of the mind and body, it does not just enhance my physical being, it also enhances my inner beauty. It is a self-training which is the most natural, simple, tranquil and effective.

When practicing yoga, we should not compare ourselves with others, or be too mindful about improvements. This will distract us and we may easily get hurt. During practice, we should relax our mind, regulate our breathing, raise our self-awareness and concentrate. When our breathing slows down, our mind also becomes clear, gone are our fears and worries and we gradually experience union of the body, mind and spirit. We feel no tension in our body and we can perform the postures more easily. We also get released from the fatigue and stress of daily life. Our physical condition is improved, we have a beautiful body line and a tranquil mind. I can experience all these benefits from yoga. Yoga has already become a part of me.

I As a yoga teacher, the most important of all is to teach with heart. This means to teach with a yoga passion and to be attentive to details, to be observant and mindful of the reaction of each student during practice. The flow of the class needs to be designed based on the students' condition and their needs. The class needs to be structured in a way to heighten students' learning desire, to help them perfect each posture within their own limits and to help them feel and get the most from each pose.

Yoga teaching is not just a job, it is also about sharing. I share my yoga knowledge and experience with students. My students share with me how yoga has done them good. Every time my students tell me how their health has improved with yoga or how they get to love yoga more and more, I feel very happy. It's a recognition of my yoga and a recognition of my delivery. In this teaching and sharing process, I have helped others and I have also helped myself!
